On October 1, 2011 the Nevada Department of Cultural Affairs will formally merge with the re-named Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs. The Nevada Arts Council, along with the Division of Museums and History, will be included in this merger.
The Office of Historic Preservation has returned to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and State Library and Archives will merge with the Department of Administration on October 1, 2011.
